GA-ATS Strengthens Do228 NXT Sales in South America through Strategic Partnership

General Atomics AeroTec Systems (GA-ATS), the German aircraft manufacturer and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Do228 NXT, is ramping up production of its next-generation aircraft at the Oberpfaffenhofen Special Airport. In line with the increase in series production, GA-ATS is intensifying its global sales activities to meet rising international demand. To support this expansion, the company has established a global network of experienced sales professionals across key markets.

Global Reach of the Do228 NXT

The Do228 NXT builds on the legacy of the original Do228, which has been in successful operation for over 40 years across all continents. Designed to carry this legacy forward, the Do228 NXT incorporates technical advancements and a reinforced supply chain, offering a highly versatile and efficient platform for modern aviation needs.

To support international market development, GA-ATS has forged strategic partnerships tailored to regional requirements.

“The Do228 NXT offers a wide range of applications - from landings on unpaved runways in South America to inter-island transport across Asia,” said Florian Rohe, Managing Director of GA-ATS. “To serve customers and prospects in the most effective way, we have built a strong global sales network with experts embedded in each region.”

Expanding Presence in South America and the Caribbean

For the Latin America and the Caribbean market, GA-ATS has entered into a strategic sales cooperation with HTS Services GmbH, a company with extensive knowledge of the South American aviation market and deep experience in aircraft sales. This collaboration aims to increase visibility of the Do228 NXT and facilitate its introduction to civil, governmental, and commercial stakeholders across the region.

The Do228 NXT is particularly well-suited for operations in South America, where many airfields are unpaved and located in remote areas. The aircraft's ability to operate reliably in such conditions makes it an ideal solution for accessing remote communities across South and Central America, as well as small Caribbean islands.

The Do228 platform already has a strong operational track record in the region, with successful deployments in countries like Chile and Mexico, among others.
